TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR WFA’S COURSES

1. Registration

Registration is on a first come first served basis.

For courses with licenses pre-requisite, all required documents must be submitted prior to the course commencement date to complete the registration. Participants are to ensure that all information in these documents are accurate, complete, and current. Participants are to promptly maintain, and update said information as to always ensure its accuracy.

Registration is only confirmed upon receival of Confirmation Email and Billing Advice. No reservation of seat is allowed.

2. Payment Terms

All fees must be received prior to attending the course.

When purchasing a course, participant agrees to pay the then-current applicable course fee listed on the Company's website. Course fees are exclusive of all taxes, levies, or duties imposed by taxing authorities, and participants are responsible for payment of all such taxes, levies or duties.

3. Withdrawal and Refund Policy

All withdrawal and refund request will have to be put through using the Request Form. All requests will be subjected to approval by CAD Manager.

Course fees paid to Acaedmy of Design Arts & Media Pte Ltd are refundable subject to the following conditions:

Written Notice of Withdrawal is received

  • 7 days prior to commencement of the course: 100% of course fees
  • 3 - 6 working days prior to commencement of the course: 50% of course fees
  • 2 or less days prior to the course commencement date: No refund

Learners will be informed of the outcome through email within 7 working days. For cases without funding involved, refund will be made within 30 calendar days from the date of approval. For cases that applied for funding, refund will be made 4 – 6 weeks upon internal approval.

Registered participants who do not show up for course with no prior notice will be considered as “Withdrawal without notice” and the Company reserves the right to charge 100% of the course fee should the payment had already been made.

4. Rescheduling of Course

All reschedule request will have to be put through using the Request Form. Request must be made to the Company at least 7 working days prior to the course commencement date.

Request to reschedule thereafter is subjected to the follow conditions:

  • Doctor-approved medical leave
  • COVID related conditions
  • Mandated by law
  • Compassionate reason

Rescheduled course dates are subjected to availability of seats and course confirmation email will be sent out once the rescheduled date has been confirmed. Course fees paid will be re-allocated accordingly.

5. Replacement of Participant

Participant may nominate a replacement by notifying Academy of Design Arts & Media Pte Ltd in writing at least 7 working days prior to the course commencement date. Academy of Design Arts & Media Pte Ltd reserves the right to reject such request that was notified less than 7 working days prior to the course commencement date.

6. Appeal Policy

All appeals shall be made in writing, with the duly filled and signed Appeal Form attached, attention to our Training Manager and email to hello@adam.edu.sg within 7 working days from the release of assessment results. Late submission and incomplete form will not be accepted or entertained.

Only 1 appeal per course can be lodged with the Company and notification on the outcome of the appeal will be made within 4 weeks from the date of appeal via email.

The cost of each appeal would be at $54.50 (inclusive of GST). No re-appeals are permitted.

7. Re-print Fee of License Card

In events of lost or damaged license card/certificate, a re-print fee of $38.15 (inclusive of GST) will be imposed.

8. Amendments to Course

Academy of Design Arts & Media Pte Ltd reserves the right to change or modify the training syllabus/dates/venues/lecturers for the course in general as and when it considers appropriate or when the circumstances require.

The participant will be informed without delay about any change or cancellation. Academy of Design Arts & Media Pte Ltd may offer an alternative date, in which case the registration may be changed to the new date. If no substitute event is offered and if no rescheduling of the training event is possible after cancellation of the originally scheduled training event for the above reasons, full refund will be made.

Academy of Design Arts & Media Pte Ltd shall not be liable and the customer shall have no right to claim for indemnification of expenses (e.g. for travel or transportation costs) or damages incurred by customer in connection with a justified change or cancellation by Academy of Design Arts & Media Pte Ltd

9. Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) Policy

With effect from 1 September 2019, Academy of Design Arts & Media Pte Ltd will cease to collect photocopied or scanned identification documents.  This is part of Academy of Design Arts & Media Pte Ltd’s commitment to ensure that your data is secure and in compliance with Personal Data Protection Commission Singapore (PDPA)’s advisory guideline on NRIC Number issued on 31 August 2018.

The collection of NRIC or any other identification number is still required by Academy of Design Arts & Media Pte Ltd to facilitate training-related matters, as per authorities’ requirements. We shall collect the learner’s name and identification information such as your NRIC or other national identification numbers, contact information such as learner’s address, email address and telephone number, nationality, gender, date of birth, marital status and employment information etc for any or all of the following purposes:

  1. performing obligations in the course of or in connection with our provision of the goods and/or services requested by you;
  2. verifying your identity;
  3. responding to, handling, and processing queries, requests, applications, complaints, and feedback from you;
  4. processing payment or credit transactions;
  5. any other incidental business purposes related to or in connection with the above

10. Termination

Academy of Design Arts & Media Pte Ltd reserve the right to terminate the services or part thereof, with or without cause at any time. We shall not be liable for any damages, losses, cost or expenses caused by arising out of termination of any part of the services, to you or any other individual.

This termination may apply to the voiding of the sale of all products on the Site, regardless of whether payment has been made (in which case the payment shall be refunded to the customer or the issue resolved on a case-by-case basis).

The cancelling, blocking or denying of a purchase can be effectuated in the event of suspected fraud, hacking or technical complications. It may also include unacceptable behaviour exhibited by trainees such as drunken stupor, violence and sexual harassment.

11. Copyright

It is acknowledged that all course material, program material or copies remain as the sole property of Academy of Design Arts & Media Pte Ltd

The course materials may not be reproduced or utilized for unauthorized purposes, nor forwarded nor disclosed to third parties without Academy of Design Arts & Media Pte Ltd's prior consent. If any software is made available during the training event, it may not be taken or removed from the training site, copied or otherwise made usable in any unauthorized manner.

Audio and/or video recordings of the lectures are strictly prohibited. Any recordings or copies made of course materials will be an infringement of copyright.
